The Beauty

Had enough with my work. After dinner, despite having a lot of work, I set aside all of that, and thought of taking a stroll in the night. There were quite a few people on the road. As it had drizzled in the evening, the weather was cool. The cool breeze was blowing all over my face. I was walking down the same street that I take everyday. But I found there were many things that I had not noticed. The shops, the huts, the mansions not even one. I felt I had come to this place for the first time. That is what pressure, ambitions, etc make you. In the battle for a best future one forgets to enjoy the beauty of the present. I was attracted by quite seemingly silly things. The lazy dog, sleepy donkeys, half-naked workers loading the merchandizes, boys hovered around the tea-shop and were having the last puff of the day, an electrician busy with an unyielding ceiling fan, shops with no customers at all. These are the things that happen everyday but never caught my attention. But today I was enjoying these little things like an infant who sees the world for the first time.

The traffic policeman, who after completing his day's work was on his way to his home. He would have had a terrible day, the smoke, senseless motorists and what not. The newspaper stall at the corner had hardly made business today, almost all the newspapers were intact. Swacha Bangalore workers were walking to their respective homes. There is so much joy in watching these simple things.
